Designcraft’s Holiday Tradition Helps Feed Local Families

How our team gives back.

Amid the hustle and bustle of the holiday rush, it’s easy to lose track of the spirit of the season. Quality time with people we care about, shared joy, and giving back—these are the moments that we bring with us into the new year. 

At Designcraft, we strive to keep that in mind. We work hard all year long, crafting prototypes with speed and precision, and we take some time to celebrate our wins every December. Our team gathers at our annual holiday party, where we cheer to the new year, reminisce over good food and drink, swap stories, and find a meaningful way to give back to our local community.

How do we give back?

Every year, Designcraft buys three prizes for a drawing. We try to keep the items related to the work we do—this year, we gave away a security camera, a VR headset, and a drone. Members of our team buy tickets to the drawing, and we announce the winners at our holiday party. 

Deisgncraft matches every dollar spent on tickets, and we give the lump sum to a local nonprofit. 

This year, we raised $2,090 for the Northern Illinois Food Bank, which has the buying power of $16,000 in groceries for families in need.
