Designcraft Implements CMMC Level 1 Cybersecurity Practices
LAKE ZURICH, IL – Designcraft is pleased to announce that it has completed a self-assessment of its information systems in accordance with the requirements of FAR 52.204-21, Basic Safeguarding of Covered Contractor Information Systems, and aligns its cybersecurity practices with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 1 requirements.
What is a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification?
The CMMC is a security standard created and implemented by the Department of Defense. Its goal is to ensure that companies in the defense supply chain, like Designcraft, properly protect sensitive government information.
What is CMMC Level One?
The CMMC is structured in three levels. Level 1 is required for any company that handles Federal Contract Information (FCI). With these safeguards in place, Designcraft can confidently receive and handle sensitive, non-public information that is not classified.
Level 1 requires 15 essential safeguards, such as using strong passwords, maintaining up-to-date malware protection, and controlling access to our systems and facility.
Why does it matter?

The CMMC shows our commitment to protecting your information, while simultaneously signaling to potential hackers that we take security seriously.
